R.I.P.: Gregory Rabassa

Gabriel García Márquez , in particular, is unimaginable without him. You knew he was a master translator because he made it seem effortless. Never once did it intrude on my reading experience that this was, yes indeed, originally written in another language. Glad he had a full, long life.
