Toffler was contradictions: books important/overrated; predictions sharp/overheated/offbase; fans insightful/goofballs. That Newtie was a big supporter sure did not help. Such a negative force claiming to be a crusader for somebody who was, yeah, more or less optimistic.
This assessment seems about right. And I agree that the most irritating complaint was that Toffler didn’t have the “right credentials” to make broad/social/cultural/technical predictions. That said, I don’t know exactly what the organizations he founded accomplished.
