Cosmogenesis

Cosmopolitan magazine probably way off the screen of anybody under 40 now. When I first discovered it at the start of my adolescence, it had a whiff of subversion about it — important to get the word out that women had more options than being stiffs or zeroes. But by the time I was an adult, the Cosmo Girl was no different than the Playboy Bachelor — merely a new type of straight. Shouldn’t be lost to history, though.
