Exercise Myths I Have Known: A Chronology

  1. Exercise is for “health nuts.” Outdoors activity is all anybody needs.
  2. Aerobics is essential. Tons of it. Lots and lots and lots of classes.
  3. Furious exercise is what counts. No pain, no gain.
  4. With serious exercise you can loose loads of weight. Maintain a reasonable healthy diet and you don’t have to worry about calories so much.
  5. You have to set aside serious amounts of time for exercise. If you miss more than a couple days a week you might as well fugghedabouddit.
