Due in part to the awful drought, this was an exceptional tomato year around here (hot September helped, too). But there is one variety that has jumped out as the clear deliciousness from a vine — the Pineapple Tomato. Big fruit, never watery, exact middle firmness and the combination of red and yellow flavorings is both distinct and unbeatable. Grilled on Egg last night, served in salads week after week, put into sauces. Gives you everything you want from both red and yellow. Amazing. The Kentucky wonder.
