… and they’ve only gotten worse over the years. You know what I mean — articles that either argue “This item, widely considered a masterpiece, is actually junk” or “This item, widely considered junk, is actually a masterpiece.” They read bratty and biased and I can’t recall one that was more persuasive than sensationalist.
And again, eternally popular with editors and publishers who don’t understand either art or criticism and are convinced it’s all just heaps of individual opinions and telling people what to think and like. Consider all critics either publicists in a mask or dancing bears. Blech.
