A Lucky 7 List celebrating the revamped turntable. (I did not include any individual-performer Xmas albums this year.)
Merry Christmas Baby (Gusto)
The sexiest, most unpredictable Xmas vinyl I have. Both sides are a romp all the way. Sonics are sub-par, however.
A Christmas Record (1982 Edition, Ze) Only the second side, which starts with the should-be-standard by The Waitresses, “Christmas Wrapping.”
A Very Special Christmas (A&M) Both sides have strong songs, but the first side has held up way better. (Snarky note: Bryan Adams and Bon Jovi are touted on the cover sticker way above Bruce Springsteen (immortal “Merry Christmas, Baby”) and U2 (meh “Baby (Please Come Home”).
Chris Stamey Group (w/dB’s), Christmas Time (Coyote)
